Dahlia

Dahlias are incredibly diverse and popular flowering plants, predominantly grown as tender perennials in the UK (meaning their tubers are typically lifted and stored over winter to protect them from frost). They are renowned for their spectacular and varied blooms, which come in an astonishing array of shapes, sizes, and colors – from tiny pom-poms to dinner-plate sized decorative forms, in almost every color except true blue, providing a vibrant display from mid-summer until the first hard frosts of autumn.
